The Mill at Saco Falls was awarded the 2011 Maine Preservation Rehabilitation Award. We performed extensive renovations to this historic mill, consisting of 66 low income family housing units, spread over 84,066 square feet. The owner, a repeat client of Wright-Ryan, aspired for the project to become part of a vibrant neighborhood, featuring public access to the Saco River. Wright-Ryan worked closely with the owner, architect, and National Park Service to arrive at a specification for the replacement windows that would meet both National Park Service and Maine Housing’s very specific and very different criteria.
