Architect: Winton Scott Architects
Owner: State of Maine, Bureau of General
Services
Contract Value: $6.5 million

The Harlow Building project involved the creation of a twenty first century office space, complete with energy conserving systems, within a historically restored nineteenth century shell.  The building’s skin of slate, copper, masonry and wood trim, was carefully restored or rebuilt.  A two story, curving structure of point supported glass marks the new main entry, and heralds the building’s reincarnation.
