Construction of Portland High-Rise Begins

(PORTLAND) - Have you noticed the new construction site in the center of the Old Port District? On the corners of Custom House Street and Fore Street in Portland, there is a 5 story, 68,000 square foot office building being erected. This building will transform the ever changing face of Portland and its popular shopping and dining district.

Olympia Equity Investors, the project owners, are working with a Massachusetts-based architectural firm and have awarded the construction contract to local builders, Wright-Ryan Construction. The project broke ground last month and is expected to be complete in fall of 2007. The building will offer office space and retail on the bottom floor.
