(Portland) – The construction of the LEED Registered Administrative Building for the Turnpike Authority of Maine (MTA) finally broke ground after Governor Baldacci put the project on hold with the hopes of uniting the MTA with the Department of Transportation.
The 55,000 square foot building is three stories and is being built at the intersection of the Airport Connector Road and Congress Street in Portland and Wright-Ryan expects to finish the building on schedule in early 2009. The $11.4 million project was designed by SMRT Architects.
