Safety first
In 2003, Wright-Ryan's Safety Committee completely rewrote the company safety manual, developing a comprehensive program incorporating not only OSHA requirements but also policy and procedures unique to our industry and more specifically to the operations of Wright-Ryan.
Among recent accomplishments:
- An employee orientation plan designed to establish a baseline of safety knowledge for each new hire and then tailor various trainings based on the job description and specific needs of that employee.
- All jobsite superintendents are being trained in the 30-hour OSHA course to improve overall awareness and create a safe atmosphere on the jobsite.
- A training seminar for crane certification awareness centered around some of the hazards of working with or around cranes

These actions, combined with the pro-safety attitude of all of Wright-Ryan's employees, have contributed to a significant reduction in worksite injuries. In the eyes of safety professionals, insurance company representatives, and other members of the business and safety fields, Wright-Ryan's safety program draws few if any parallels in the industry.
