BREWER, MAINE – A new apartment complex that is unlike anything Maine has seen before opened in a Brewer neighborhood at the end of April 2016.

Built by Wright-Ryan Construction, Village Centre is one of the largest Passive House developments in the country. Through a super-insulated building envelope and quality windows, the Passive House building achieves optimum air temperature and quality, with minimal air conditioning costs.

GrowSmart .aine featured Village Centre’s success as a Passive House project and an example of Public-Private Partnership at work during its continuing Smart Growth Forum series event on Wednesday, June 29th. Cordelia Pitman, Director of Preconstruction Services, represented Wright-Ryan as one of the panelists. Read more about Village Centre Apartments and the forum event here.
