Wright-Ryan Construction was hired to perform exterior and interior renovations to the Colonial Inn while preserving the existing historical design elements and structure. The hotel rooms were expanded with renovations that include flooring, lighting, plumbing fixtures, sprinkler systems, and millwork. Wright-Ryan Construction also installed historically accurate replacement windows and siding. We also constructed a new stair tower, complimenting the unique design of the building while increasing function and safety. The owners obtained Historic Tax Credits, and the project received a Maine Preservation Honor Award for the property’s historical rehabilitation.
