Wright-Ryan’s Cordelia Pitman Featured at 11th Annual Women in Construction Event
Wright-Ryan Vice President of Project Development Cordelia Pitman recently joined leaders from across Maine’s construction and development community as a featured speaker at Bernstein Shur’s 11th Annual Women in Construction & Project Development Event.
This year’s sold-out event brought together more than 250 attendees around the theme “Being in the Room,” exploring what it means to show up, grow, and lead in an evolving industry. Cordelia joined Rebecca Hatfield of Hancock Lumber and Jennifer Packard of PK Realty Management to share personal stories and lessons from their careers.
Cordelia reflected on her unconventional path from aspiring astrophysicist to architect to construction leader at Wright-Ryan. She also shared her “3 P’s” for navigating career growth: Polite, Professional, and Persistent, along with a reminder to have a little “Phun” along the way. Her message emphasized that earning a place in the room comes through showing up, collaborating, building relationships, and consistently doing the work.
