John and Jenny received honorary degrees

Maine College of Art & Design recently awarded Honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degrees to John Ryan and Jenny Scheu in recognition of their lasting contributions to the College and Maine’s creative community. John is co-founder and former president of Wright-Ryan and currently serves on our Board of Directors. John has supported MECA&D through his involvement in several campus projects and service on the College’s Facilities Think Tank. Jenny is a licensed architect, artist, and founder of Redhouse Architects. Jenny has served as a MECA&D Trustee since 2018 and has contributed her time and leadership to the College’s academic programs and student community. Together, John and Jenny received honorary degrees as recognition for their shared commitment to art, design, education, and the built environment.
