About
Bayside Anchor is a 45-unit multifamily housing complex located on Portland’s peninsula, designed to provide high-quality, affordable homes for a diverse range of residents. Built in partnership with local and national housing advocates, the project was selected as the winner of the national “Lowering the Cost of Housing Competition” for its innovative approach to delivering cost-effective, sustainable housing. In addition to residential units, the development includes shared community spaces and site features that support long-term livability. Bayside Anchor reflects a thoughtful, forward-looking approach to urban housing in one of Maine’s most vibrant neighborhoods.
Sustainability
The Passive House Certified building design is based on maximizing energy efficiency and improved air quality, while also helping promote a quiet living environment. The apartments include energy efficient measures such as solar photovoltaic panels on the roof as well as a courtyard for storm water management.
