About

This multi-phase expansion added 47 guest rooms and a new open market to a beloved coastal hotel, enhancing the guest experience while allowing operations to continue throughout construction. The project included three new guest buildings connected by skybridges, as well as a market building offering locally sourced goods and additional lodging above. The carefully planned phasing and design integration ensured minimal disruption to guests and staff during peak seasons while delivering much-needed space and amenities in a setting that honors the hotel’s legacy.

Historic

The new buildings were carefully crafted to complement the character of the original structure, ensuring a seamless blend with the historic hotel, recognized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation as a Historic Hotel of America.
