This new staff housing facility for Witham Family Hotels provides high-quality, efficient accommodations for seasonal employees in Bar Harbor, Maine. The three-story, 20,308-square-foot building houses up to 78 occupants and includes basement-level laundry, storage, and mechanical space. Wright-Ryan used prefabrication strategies, including a cross-laminated timber elevator shaft installed in one piece, to cut framing time in half, reducing it from 38 to just 19 working days. These efficiencies helped the team complete the project eight weeks ahead of schedule and under budget.
