This project involved the renovation of the existing York Town Hall and the construction of a two-story addition to support the growing needs of the town. The new addition was designed with a contemporary aesthetic and set back from the original structure to highlight the historic character of the existing building. The completed facility offers improved functionality for municipal operations while blending old and new elements. Careful phasing and coordination allowed the project to meet modern standards without compromising the visual and civic identity of this important community landmark.

Historic

The renovation of York Town Hall focused on preserving the building’s historic character while preparing it for long-term municipal use. Restoration work included repairing original wood clapboards and trim, refurbishing windows, replacing storm windows, repainting the historic front door, and installing a new roof and gutter system. All improvements were completed in accordance with historic design guidelines, with added features such as an ADA-compliant entrance and updated fire escape to meet current accessibility and safety standards.
