Wright-Ryan Joins Avesta Housing for New Affordable Housing Development in Portland
Avesta Housing is proposing a new affordable housing development at 1871 Forest Avenue in Portland, Maine. Wright-Ryan will serve as Construction Manager.
The $20 million, four-story development will include 33 studio apartments for individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness. The apartments will serve households earning up to 30% of the area median income. Avesta plans to build the 28,700-square-foot development on the former Tortilla Flats site along outer Forest Avenue.
Designed by Simons Architects, the project team also includes Acorn Engineering. This Avesta Housing development represents another important investment in expanding access to permanent, affordable housing in the Portland, Maine community.
