Currently under construction, this landmark project will be the first of its kind in Maine. Vertical Harvest energizes local food systems via hydroponic, vertical, controlled environmental agriculture to deliver healthier food and futures. The innovative vertical farm system uses 85% less water to deliver produce at peak flavor and nutrition year-round, a welcome addition to the difficult New England winters. In addition to the vertical greenhouse, the City of Westbrook is adding a large parking garage. The project is being constructed on a very tight urban site.
