The Portland YMCA has been a repeat client of Wright-Ryan’s since 1998. Wright-Ryan constructed a 19,000 square foot, 4-story, 32-unit apartment complex with common areas & laundry facilities. The building is block & plank construction. We worked closely with the YMCA to minimize disruption to tenants and members. It was an extremely tight space and construction needed to take place on a busy Portland thoroughway.

Wright-Ryan also undertook major renovations to the YMCA center, building a welcoming entryway and improved drop off/pick up points along High Street, which allows the YMCA to offer a safer entrance to their current facilities. The renovations throughout the building included two swimming pool areas, a fitness center, locker rooms, squash and racquetball courts, and a new elevator. Wright-Ryan worked closely with the staff at the Y on a daily basis to minimize disruption to ongoing programs.
