The Osher Map Library had outgrown its space on the University of Southern Maine (USM), Portland campus. Despite significant design challenges, the new building has been proclaimed one of the finest map libraries in the world – and it also achieved LEED Silver certification.  Construction companies aren’t typically renowned for their delicacy. In this case, Wright-Ryan built a major edifice while recognizing that acute attention to detail was critical for this world-class collection.
